St. John Bosco Secondary School is Wellington Catholic District School Board's alternative learning high school. Through a strengths-based approach, it provides individualized education for students in Grades 9 through 12. Staff includes teachers, SERT, social worker, educational assistants and a coordinator, who provide a small learning environment that stresses strong relationships, student voice, flexible schedules, independent learning at youth's own pace, healthy meals, and an overall caring environment. Each student is provided a "Caring Adult" from our staff who supports the student in their decision-making and advocates on their behalf.
Central West, or Downtown Guelph, is known for its distinctive limestone architecture and heritage buildings. Many of Guelph's historically designated properties are in or near the downtown area. Downtown is very easily accessible by car, regional and local transit, walking, and by bike.
