Our School

Welcome to the Johnny Lombardi community. This school will offer many academic, social and emotional growth opportunities for all its students. As with each school in the York Region District School Board, Johnny Lombardi supports student learning through the curriculum expectations set out by the Ontario Ministry of Education and many other co-curricular activities.

Johnny Lombardi promotes a safe and supportive learning environment. This is done through the Board’s Safe Schools Policy and Procedures and the Character Education Initiatives. We are very proud that shortly we will be offering the following programs to our students: Anti-Bully Programs, guest speakers and workshops, ongoing social skills support, a Progressive Discipline Model, Student Leadership Program and the York Region Police Department VIP Program. As part of our Character Education Initiatives we will have monthly Good News Assemblies that will recognize each of the Board’s Character Traits. Monthly certificates will be given to students who consistently demonstrate the Character Traits and often we will have guest performances and speakers who promote Character Education.

Johnny Lombardi is proud of all its students. We will make every effort to recognize achievement including: reporting on achievement and learning skills, through our morning announcements and school awards. Student Leadership is the foundation of all school initiatives that benefit our student population and community.
