What Sets Us Apart
A very active School Council organizes various fundraising initiatives e.g., Family Movie Nights, Pizza Lunches, Hallowe'en dances, and Fun Fair (in collaboration with Churchill PS). Our School Council collaborates with staff in neighbouring schools and the community to organize workshops for parents. Parent volunteers assist on field trips, pizza lunch and during special events throughout the school year.
Parent and Community Engagement
Community volunteers assist in the school's naturalization project and eco-school team during the off-school months. We support partnerships with Faculty of Education students and local secondary school co-op students and encourage collaboration with community/social agencies such as Jewish Family and Child Services, Adventure Place, Willowdale Early Years Centre, Parks & Rercreation, Toronto Public Health and Dental Clinic. We also have Settlement Services who provide 1 day a week at the school to help connect our school community when needed.
