About Seneca Hill Public School

Seneca Hill Public School is an elementary school located in the northeast part of the city, south of Finch Avenue, east of Don Mills Road and just south of Seneca College. Seneca Hill P.S. is a dual program school in that we house the regional gifted program which draws from the wider community for students. We also have a regular Junior Kindergarten program. Phoenix Daycare Centre, a community based program, works closely with the school. Children from two and one half years old and up are provided with a stimulating, nurturing program. There is a before and after school program for school-age children. The daycare is accommodated in the building.

Seneca Hill Public School is located in Don Valley Village

Don Valley Village, developed in the 1960s and 1970s, occupies the space that was originally a collection of farming hamlets in the early 19th century. Two historical landmarks still exist from that period: the Zion Schoolhouse and the Alexander Muirhead Victorian farmhouse. The mix of housing here includes split level homes, semi-detached homes, and family-size detached houses featuring Georgian, Tudor, and contemporary-style designs. There are also a large concentration of high-rise apartment and condominium buildings. The area is extremely well connected to the rest of the city.
