Distinctive programs depending on needs:
MID SHSM Credit: Credit based courses with a focus on Hospitality and Tourism. MID Credit: Credit based courses. All credit based courses are supplemented with after school and summer school recovery courses. Credit based courses require more breakdown and require longer time to complete therefore students are provided extra years to complete all work.
MID ESAC: 4 yr. mixed courses, followed by School to Work Transition. PH MID: 7 yr. ESAC, where senior students participate in Co-op Business Ventures.
INTEGRATED DD: 7 yr. ESAC involving 1 yr. supported co-op. DD: Certificate of Achievement that involves supported experiential community initiatives.
Skills For Your Future
We offer a unique timetable where you can spend half a day in employability skills and half a day in academic studies building your literacy and numeracy skills. Our Employability Skills include shops in: Culinary Arts, Baking, Restaurant Service, Small Engines, Auto Detailing, Health Care, Computer Technology, Landscape and Masonry, Green Industries, Drywall / Painting / Roofing Construction, Carpentry, and in-school Pathways. We also offer the Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) in Construction with other secondary schools in our area and Hospitality with Stephen Leacock C.I. Our goal is for every student to realize their full potential.

Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM)
A SHSM is a ministry-approved specialized program that offers students the opportunity to focus on a specialized area such as Construction or Hospitality and Tourism while working towards their OSSD. Additional training and certificates provided include First Aid, CPR, WHMIS, SmartServe, and Safe Food Handler or Hoisting and Rigging and Confined Spaces. The program also assists with students transitioning into apprenticeship, college or the workplace.

What Does Our School Program Offer?
- 15 Employability shops geared for students of varying ability, including SHSMs with neighbouring schools.
- Modified courses in Literacy, Numeracy, Science, Social Science, Learning Strategies, Music, Art, Geography, History and Careers and Civics.
- Experiential Learning is available to all senior students up to age 21, through a variety of workplace opportunities.

What is the School To Work Transition (SWT)?
- Supported job placement and coaching, with career exploration and goal setting for our MID population.
- Weekly in-school employability problem solving sessions. •Integrated communication with employers, students, teachers and parents.
- Resume writing, interview skills and TTC training.
- Development of an employment portfolio.
- Gateway to post-secondary or employment.
What is a Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM)?
- Enhanced employability program offered with our Collegiate partners providing our students with more technical and academic focus.
- Construction SHSM with secondary schools in our area, working on initiatives for community enhancement.
- Hospitality SHSM with Stephen Leacock C.I. working on community catering ventures in our state of the art culinary facilities.
