Brandon Gate Public School is dedicated to student success and we value our partnerships with families and the community. To foster these partnerships, parents are invited to our monthly student recognition character trait assemblies as well as to special school events such as our open house, book fair, curriculum information evenings, concerts and graduation. We also have an annual Family Evening of Learning that provides parents and students with activities which families can do together at home to support student success. Our classroom teachers provide further monthly curriculum information through monthly newsletters, which also provide a list of activities that parents can do with their child at home.

Each month we focus on a character development trait such as respect, punctuality or empathy. The meaning of a particular trait is defined during our morning announcements. At our monthly Student Recognition Assembly, students are recognized for demonstrating these traits. These traits are: punctuality and preparedness, respect, empathy, caring, honesty, inclusiveness, co-operation, responsibility and perseverance.

Brandon Gate offers a variety of extracurricular activities and clubs for our students. These range from activities such as visual arts, sports and dance. The extracurricular activities are organized by Brandon Gate staff who have a special interest in these areas. Students are encouraged to make them a part of their school life.
