Alma Public School is located at the edge of the small community of Alma, in the township of Mapleton. The majority of our students live in the surrounding rural areas and are bused to school each day; while the rest of our students live in Alma and can walk to and from school. Currently we have one full day/every day kindergarten class. Our students with special needs are integrated in regular classes with resource withdrawal support.
Alma is an unincorporated rural community in Mapleton Township. Pioneers began settling along the Elora Saugeen Road, which forms the main street of Alma, during the 1840s.
