Kingswood Drive Public School is a kindergarten to grade 5 school in the Central Peel family of schools, located in central Brampton. We offer a half day kindergarten program as well as before and after school care through PLASP. Our culturally diverse student population is approximately 800, and we have an active and involved school council and parent community. At Kingswood Drive, we focus on building bridges to the future. We have a strong, collaborative teaching team with a focus on teaching and learning with technology. We have many extracurricular activities available (chess club, friendship club, intramural sports, choirs, Eco club, drumming ensemble, recycling, character club, running club, drama club) at different times of the year.
The Brampton North neighbourhood is north as it relates to Downtown Brampton, which is bordered by Brampton North, East, South, and West. This is an older area of Brampton, with development in the 1960s. The neighbourhood is a mix of residential and commercial areas, with shopping and services along Main St and at Main St and Bovaird Dr, and also at Queen St and Kennedy Ave. Housing is a mix of single detached homes, semi-detached homes, townhomes, and low-rise and high-rise apartments. The Etobicoke Creek, parklands, and trails run along the western part of this neighbourhood.
