Janet Lee, built in 1987, is located in the Heritage Green area of Upper Stoney Creek. The school is named in honour of Janet Lee who was one of the founders of the world famous Women’s Institute and was also responsible for setting up the first Kindergarten in Hamilton. The school serves students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. Our current student population is approximately 400 students. Every year we continue to welcome new students to the school as families move into our area.
Stoney Creek is a community in the city of Hamilton. It was officially a city from 1984 to 2001, when it was amalgamated with the rest of the cities of the Regional Municipality of Hamilton–Wentworth. Residential development is ongoing in Stoney Creek Mountain, and residents enjoy easy access to parks and recreation facilities.
