In Hamilton's historic North End, St. Lawrence School is a Catholic school community of children, parents, educators, and support staff who all strive for excellence as they support community partnerships to make St. Lawrence a place where gospel values are clearly evident. This neighbourhood in an urban village wedged between Hamilton harbour, the city's industrial core, and the C.N.R. railway line which separates it from the rest of the city. The area has continuously welcomed new arrivals to this country over the course of the past century. In the fall of 2008, St. Lawrence had acquired the special ministry funded program aptly named, "The Parenting and Family Literacy Center", which continues to actively support the interactive learning of both caregiver and the child, and continues to be a favourite with our adult supporters.
