Franklin Road School, home of the Falcons! Franklin Road, built in 1953, is located at the corner of Franklin Rd. and Upper Sherman. The school was remodeled in 2003 and went from serving Junior Kindergarten to Grade 5 to its present configuration where it now serves students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. Our current student population is approximately 360 students. Aligned with the Board focus, Franklin Rd. has a very strong emphasis on Literacy across the curriculum. Comprehensive literacy within protected language blocks is built in to the daily structure.
Burkholme is a neighbourhood located in east Hamilton. The area is mostly residential with a few parks, though some shopping and businesses can be found at the corner of Upper Wentworth Street and Fennell Ave, and the corner of Mohawk Road and Upper Sherman Ave.
