Our mission is to create a safe, accepting and inclusive school environment. Our purpose is to support academic achievement and to nurture positive personal, social, and physical development for all students. We provide a safe, inclusive, active learning environment with a focus on the values of respect, effort and responsibility. We currently are home to a contained ASD class and a contained IGLD class, as well as Enhanced Learning Classes (ELC). We also are home to the extended French program which begins at the grade 7 level. We have the privilege of having one of the few science and technology application centers in the board. The intermediate alternative program is also housed in our building.
The Brampton North neighbourhood is north as it relates to Downtown Brampton, which is bordered by Brampton North, East, South, and West. This is an older area of Brampton, with development in the 1960s. The neighbourhood is a mix of residential and commercial areas, with shopping and services along Main St and at Main St and Bovaird Dr, and also at Queen St and Kennedy Ave. Housing is a mix of single detached homes, semi-detached homes, townhomes, and low-rise and high-rise apartments. The Etobicoke Creek, parklands, and trails run along the western part of this neighbourhood.
