About Central Peel SS

Central Peel Secondary School is proud of its dedicated and highly qualified staff and the variety of programs it offers which are aimed at maximizing student potential. Teachers are committed to meeting the needs of each student in a caring, equitable and understanding environment. Central Peel participates in the Peel District School Board initiative of Character Education in every aspect of school community life. The school encourages respect for individuality and a positive self-image. Staff assist students in developing leadership skills that will maximize their potential as independent learners and thinkers as well as active citizens in the community. Central Peel offers a Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) Program in Business which allows students to customize their high school experiences to suit their interests and talents.

The Madoc neighbourhood is in central Brampton, east of Downtown, and is largely residential. Madoc features the Historic Bovaird House, built in 1845-1852, a central recreation centre, park lands, trails, schools, a shopping plaza along Kennedy Rd on the west, and a commercial area along Queen St, which is the southern border. Housing is a mix of older single-detached homes in various styles, semi-detached homes, and townhome complexes.
